NPC PRESS BRIEFING ON THE EXTENSION OF THE SECOND TRANSITIONAL NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT PLAN

This morning, the National Planning Commission (NPC) hosted a press briefing on the extension of the Second Transitional National Development Plan (TNDP), led by Minister of State President Honourable Moeti Mohwasa at the Mass Media Complex Studio 4. When briefing the media, Honourable Mohwasa acknowledged their vital role in disseminating information. He informed the media that the TNDP has been extended by seven months (April - October 2025) to allow for consultations and realignment of NDP12 with the new government’s priorities and Batswana's aspirations. On other matters, Honourable Mohwasa took the opportunity of announcing the establishment of the NPC Advisory Council, which is chaired by His Honour the Vice President, Mr.Ndaba Gaolathe, along with four cabinet ministers and not more than 10 members with expertise and experience in various fields. Consultations with various District leadership is set to commence in Gaborone on the 8th April and ending in Kasane on the 28th April 2025.
