NPC CONDUCTS LISTENING TOUR TO RAISE AWARENESS ON UPCOMING NDP12

Following the successful implementation of the inaugural NPC Roadshow in 2024, the second roadshow, also dubbed the NPC Listening Tour, commenced on the 1st to the 14th of March, 2025. The purpose of the listening tour was to create brand awareness on the NPC mandate and the various strategic interventions, particularly the development and/or preparatory process of the National Development Plan 12 (NDP 12), as well as get insights from Batswana on what developments they envision for their localities in the upcoming NDP12. The listening Tour featured Mall Activations at the following locations; Tsabong Kang, Mabutsane, Jwaneng, Kanye, Pitsane, Molapowabojang, Goodhope, Mmathethe, Otse and Ramotswa. Literature was dropped off at a few locations along the way. These included, Middlepits, Makopong, Khanyeng, Khisa, Phepeng, Khakheya, Werda, Mogobane and, Ntlhantlhe. Other engagements included courtesy calls made to the various District Commissioners and Dikgosi of the respective villages visited. The School Outreach Programme also featured on the Listening Tour, with visits to schools such as the Tsabong Unified Secondary School, Matsha Community College, Tapologo Community Junior Secondary School, Maiteko Community Junior Secondary School, Seepapitso Senior Secondary School, Emang Community Junior Secondary School and Kagiso Senior Secondary School along the route taken. Students were given presentations on the NPC mandate, national development plans and how they can participate in the development process.
