Dr. Wilfred Mandlebe

Dr. Wilfred Mandlebe graduated with a BA (Economics & Accounting), MA (Economics), MBA and PhD (Public Policy). Dr. Mandlebe worked at the Bank of Botswana and later joined the then Ministry of Finance and Development Planning where he rose through the ranks to become Secretary for Economic Affairs, Secretary for Financial Affairs, Senior Policy Advisor and was later appointed Permanent Secretary until he retired from the public service in November 2022. Throughout this expansive public service career, he gained substantial expertise on economic development, development planning, public finance and public policy matters.
