CONSULTATIONS ON NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT PLAN 12 (NDP 12) WITH THE DISTRICT LEADERSHIP

Consultations with various District leadership commenced in Gaborone on the 8th of April and ended in Kang on the 5th of May 2025. The consultations led by Minister for State President Honourable Moeti Mohwasa. The consultations included Members of Parliament, Councilors, Dikgosi, and VDC Chairpersons, to discuss and facilitate the preparations of NDP12. Throughout the district consultations, Minister Mohwasa encouraged councils to become creative and find ways of raising funds that will help improve community developments. He stated that political differences should not hinder the development process of this country. He urged a strategic, integrated approach to development projects and highlighted the importance of youth participation in planning. Emphasizing collective responsibility, the Minister called for inclusive efforts to drive sustainable national progress. The visit aims to ensure local voices shape Botswana’s future through the upcoming NDP 12.
